Kaomoji: Japanese text faces
Kaomoji are faces made from characters, read upright rather than sideways: (◕‿◕), (ᵔᴥᵔ), ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. They add expression without an emoji keyboard and work almost anywhere text does.
Why does my kaomoji look misaligned?
Kaomoji mix characters from several scripts, and each app’s font sets their widths. The face may look slightly different after pasting; try a simpler one if it breaks.
